About Me

I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in History. My Master of Arts in Counseling is from Dallas Baptist University. While attending graduate school, I rounded out my academic knowledge by working at counseling agencies assisting individuals and couples through various difficulties. I have also provided counseling services at mental health hospitals in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. As a bereavement coordinator at a hospice, I had the honor of working with families in their intense times of sorrow. For several years, at a drug and alcohol rehab, I enjoyed helping dual diagnosis clients along their road toward recovery. My private practice is located in Richardson, near the intersection of Campbell Road and Hwy 75.

I consider it a privilege to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I strive to help others reach their goals, deal with past hurts, and experience hope and an authentic sense of self. Areas of specialization include psychotherapy for depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, phase of life problems, grief/loss, trauma and abuse, and addictions.

My approach to therapy is adjusted to meet your needs and objectives. The most influential theories on my counseling style come from psychodynamic, existential, and family systems schools of thought. I believe the relationship between client(s) and therapist is critical in helping individuals, couples, and families overcome their struggles and achieve a more fulfilling, more enjoyable life. So, you can expect a safe, non-threatening environment in our therapy sessions.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
